What is the best language to learn next, after the French language?
I am currently learning French and was intermediate thinking about picking up another foreign language. For those who speak this beautiful language out there, what is the best language to learn next, after France and Why? I would like to learn French. Anything but English, Mandarin, Malay - I've known those.
OK, everybody is a little wrong. 1 - the most spoken languages are Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and English. And 2 - France is nothing like Arabic, some French words derive from the Arabic, however, and some French is spoken in Arab countries. Or I'd go with the Spanish because it is similar to French and opens most of America South and some Asian countries for use by and in Spain (against the French is not so widely spread) or for something a little more complicated but certainly worth it - Mandarin Chinese. Not too hard, very fun and will certainly be useful in the future.
