How can I personally made my WoW 2.0.1 compatible addons?

Recently Blizzard released patch 2.0.1 for World of Warcraft. I am an amateur / novice programmer who is always interested in learning new scripts and languages. I did my personal AddOns of WoW Lua and XML, one that simply added a command bar that allowed me to whisper my target. Another was a frame with the current playing time. Both of these harmless, non-combat-sensitive decisions AddOns became incompatible with the release of this patch. Does anyone know how to update or know where I can find information on how to update? Thank you.

I want to learn Japanese through software. I've heard mixed reviews About Auralog and Rosetta Stone. Help?

My parents are not really "for" that learning a second language, but I think Japan is beautiful and I feel motivated to learn. I heard that the number of Rosetta Stone is effective in the Romance languages as French and Spanish, but lacked a bit when it comes to Japan. And I also heard that only covers Romanji spelling. I would like to learn to read and speak. I heard of another user on Auralog Tell me More learning software and wondered what other people think of it. Can you teach reading? My parents not for this, and I'm very busy and my school does not offer. But I am convinced that if I think the language is quite beautiful, I want to learn.
