Yes, definitely helps a lot as they begin their studies as the other poster mentioned is not an end in all. But is the method I like to get my learning off the trac of law and fact develop conversation skills. There are many methods out there that will not help at all to develop their oral skills. Pimsleur is really good for native speakign and understanding.

I'm an American student going to a community college right now, and have always wanted go to school in France ... I dont really want to do a program of study abroad for a year, but I want to stay over there for two years .. The problem is that I have only taken one semester of French before ... Is it possible for me to go to school there? Like all schools with special language programs to people who speak English or something?

I studied abroad in France and had only a year and a half of French at university. Although mainly studied French language and culture, I know of other programs for English speaking people with special interests, like art or business. In general, programs foreign language fits your skill level. For mine, I took a diagnostic test when I first arrived at college, and I was placed in a category decent challenge, but education. I really badly want to learn Korean, but how do I start?

My first language is English, learning Spanish and am currently in the school. But I strongly want to learn Korean! I plan to go there in the future. The first place we looked to find a way to learn Korea was the Rosetta Stone software. But after reading reviews of it from native speakers, the program may not teach the language in a way native speakers speak ever Korean. Do you know anything about this? In addition, a class would actually be more beneficial to me not only for the use of other online sites? Where Korea would be a class will be offered throughout the greater Los Angeles area?
